This Specific Acer TravelMate 5720 Notebook PC Core 2 Duo (T7100) 1.80GHz 1024MB (2x512MB) 120GB 15.4 inch WXGA TFT LCD with Webcam DVD SuperMulti Modem LAN WLAN Vista HP (Intel X3100) functions wonderful. simple to operator and modify. The Cost of this was much lower as compared to other place, I other locations explored, rather than a lot more than related merchandise.

Review 1 : Great solid laptop
I've had this laptop for a few months now and am very happy with it. When I got it, it ran pretty slow with vista... However, removing all the bundled rubbish such as Norton and MS Office (I use open office) and a bunch of other pre-installed software it worked great. I'm planning to upgrade to XP soon in hopes of even better performance :-)
I've also got Ubuntu 8.04 on it as well and have had no problems with it, it picked up all the hardware including the wireless chip straight out of the box. It also picks up the build in web cam too! The only thing I haven't figured out how to set-up/use in Ubuntu is the Infra red device built into the front of the laptop. But I've got no real need for it.
The battery life is good, I've had nearly 2.5 hours out of it for general web browsing and instant messenger. The Wireless is awesome too with acer's "signalUp" technology. It has a really nice clear, bright screen as well. An important point is that the keyboard...
