A very capable laptop!"Notebook" is perhaps a little optimistic - I bought it as a desktop replacement, one which is readily carried to wherever I can find some space to work, but I'm not sure that it's the sort of computer you could carry with you all the time, as perhaps a notebook might be. Battery life is not such that you can be away from the mains for that long - three hours might just be achievable if you're not too ambitious in its use. However, as a desktop replacement, it does everything thing I hoped. The full-HD screen is good, even if I do need my glasses to read some of the text, and pictures look excellent. It shows HD Blu-Ray films very well - not that I've had time to watch anything other than a brief test sample - and it runs my rail simulation game much better than the desktop it replaced. I don't like touchpads, and try to use a mouse when I can, but this one seems pretty good. I appreciate the separate numeric keyboard, and find most controls fairly intuitive, and relatively...

Great Apple Mac replacementI was a big Apple fan, I bought about 30 Macs since 1994 for myself and my company (Power books, power Macs, mac mini, Mac pros, Macbook pros...). The lasts Apple products I've bought were not as good as before, the quality is not here anymore. I was also quite fed up of being part of this "Apple cult": where it is not possible to voice you concerns online about an Apple product without attracting the ire of some crazy Apple religious zealots.
