This laptop has turned out to be a great purchase. Obviously price was keen, delivery was quick.
The specification of the laptop was very good - speed is excellent, graphics superb, and the quick connection web button function makes connection to the web very very quick indeed.
The whole feel of the laptop is one of quality, as you would expect of Sony products.
I would personally recommend this laptop for the home user.

Review 1 : Warning - buyer beware!
You pay a bit more for the Sony brand, vs other laptops with a similar spec, and for that you expect a bit of extra build quality.
But I had two of these within the space of two months (the first had to be returned for a power fault), and both times the headphone jack broke without any rough use. It's an extremely brittle piece of plastic, and it sticks out which makes it vulnerable to cracking if you pull out your headphone plug at even the slightest angle.
Sounds trivial? Not when a) it's not covered by the warranty, and b) the cost of repair is huge, because the jack is part of the motherboard.
My solution, as recommended by two local repair shops, is to buy a USB Sound Card instead of getting the jack fixed.
So - I'm sure the laptop is fine and lovely in many ways, but if this happened twice to me, I'm pretty sure it's a regular occurence for Vaio owners, and not the kind of thing you'd think of when doing all that complicated research into which laptop to...
