Review 1 : Aesthetically pleasing with decent performance.
I have had this laptop for three days.

Pros
- Very nice design, aluminium/plastic combo. Slim.
- GT730M one of the latest nvidia card for 2013.
- Battery life (based on SSD version) 5hrs+ avg so far.
- Core i7 speed.
- Comfy, backlit keyboard.
- Ports on the rear (personal preference).

Cons
- Screen resolution on the low side (1366x720)
- Heavier than an ultrabook
- Base gets quite hot when gaming
- Battery not user replaceable (although good for 1000+ recycles)

Overall I am pleased with my purchase and I believe it is a fair price.

Simply will not play videos from the internet without hanging after a few minutes. Have installed the patches Acer told me to, but its no better. My Samsung tablet and ancient, battered HP laptop (which this was supposed to replace) all play fine using my wireless broadband. Have returned it as unfit for purpose - waiting to see if I get a full refund. Meanwhile back to my antedeluvian HP.

Thin, stylish, great keyboard and the multi touch trackpad is great for windows 8 once you get used to it. Its very fast and handles the windows 8 experience well.

Great laptop, perfectly balanced, but short battery life
I bought this laptop mostly for gaming on travels or as a secondary one when I'm using my pc for something else.
Gaming performance surprised me, Far Cry 3, Skyrim, Dead Space 3, all of them can be played at mid-graphics or even higher, although battery will die in less than 2 hours. For more common purposes, as watching movies, surf the net... you can reach about 4 hours, but I've never been able to make the battery last more than that.
Included software is generous, sound system is acceptable, comfortable keyboard and touchpad.

Review 1 : Excellent quality for the price!
I bought this laptop a few weeks ago, and so far it has been heaven! It is incredibly fast and responsive, and I seem to have suffered none of the issues others have with this device. I would definitely recommend it. As for the Wi-Fi dropping out, that is a power saving issue, and can be solved by going into control panel > power options > balanced plan > change plan settings > change advanced power settings > Wireless adapter settings > change maximum power saving to maximum performance then it should solve the problem. Once this issue was sorted, I have had no problems with the laptop.
