Review 1 : well worth trying it, but it is over priced.
Toshiba have been in the forefront of the laptop techknowlegy for a long time. with the introduction of R830 series, they have given us a laptop to compare with Sony|Z23 and Samsung 900 series. Samsung did not go beyond i5 cpu. But Sony and Toshiba continued with i7 cpu's, and I am glad they did. both laptops are of compareable performance. I had problem with sony's original wireless driver, my internet was reduced to trickle, after I upgraded the driver the problem ceased. However with Toshiba it was bang on from the begining all was well. to be honest both models are equally perform well, Sony is very expensive to what it is, and Toshiba is also expensive to what it is. lastly I shoud doubt the declared weight for R8301DZ at 1.2kg it weighs much more, the weight is as mentioned on Amazon, I have not checked this at Toshiba site.
