I like the touch pad being in the center bottom of the keypad. I am left handed and most computers are putting this slightly to the left, forgetting there are left handed people in the world. This gives me more room to place my wrist and this is the reason I picked this computer. I have had HP or Compaq laptops since I have been buying laptops and they tend to be good computers. Where this computer drops the ball is it has Windows 8 operating system. I knew this when I bought it, and I expected a simple upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium, not a whole new method of using the computer. It requires logging in with email address instead of a separate log in name, which I did not like. Then once logged in there are tiles rather than a toolbar to get to a desktop page, etc. Shutting down involves new fewer than four steps rather than hitting the familiar round button on the toolbar. It is completely different from a functionally standpoint. I hated it, and my husband, who is less computer...
