Review 1 : Powerful but flawed
I bought this to replace my Dell XPS 1502 which was the most flawless and magnificent laptop I ever had.
Never mind.
This laptop isn't in the same universe as that 1 year old machine. There again, the current XPS model overheats and won't sustain a wifi connection.
What's good about this?
Power, power, power.
My I7 chip has serious poke - my Inspiron also has 8GB of RAM - I can run virus checks while rendering HD video and watch HD Netflix with loads of other tabs open. Seriously, this is a beast. Ive used an i5 version- I couldn't tell any difference - these are full voltage chips that really cut the mustard- I could have saved money.
I've played Half Life 2 and BioShock on this at very high frame rates - not exactly state of the art but this machine will run that type of stuff effortlessly.
Wifi speeds are excellent unlike all of the flashy slimline Dells that are being made in the image of the MacBook,...
