I bought a Toshiba satellite approx 3 years ago and was very pleased with it. I recently sold it to a friend as I bought an imac,but decided to buy another laptop for convenience. Thought I would get another Toshiba.
Big mistake!!
The build quality is poor - flimsy plastic. The keyboard is very flimsy. The sound from the built in speakers is the worst I have ever heard from any laptop. I either received a bad one or Toshiba have dropped their standards.
This machine was so disappointing I returned it immediately to Amazon.
I would not recommend this model to anyone.
I have replaced it with a Lenovo Z500 which is brilliant.

This Specific Toshiba Satellite C855-1TC 15.6-inch Notebook (Red)-(Intel Pentium B960 2.2GHz, 6GB RAM, 750GB HDD, Windows 8, USB 3.0) does fantastic. simple to use and also alter. The Cost of this is reduced compared to other locations, My spouse and I other places investigated, and never much more as compared tp comparable item.

Review 2 : broken down
had it week or so and the screen went black. VERY TIRESOME!! I am in Poland on business so not a good move. For that week the machine woorked Windows 8 seemed good, liked the way it pushes email to windows live and the navigation
