A good device
I had done a lot of research and Which mag had given this one a good rating. It was the one below an ultra book, which suited me fine. On the whole a good machine. Windows 8 takes time to understand, but I am getting the hang of it. My only gripe is that there is no eject button for your cd's and dvd's. so far I have to go into media player to eject, which is a but annoying. I like the keyboard, the colours are good. Sound for music is a bit tinny and lacks bass, but I think Which picked up on that too. I have attached speakers which seem to boost the sound quality.

So, if this is more of a work device than a leisure device, then this will be good for you.

Does notl live up to expectations at this price range
Screen seems to be qoverexposed and lacks the richness of colour that would be expected at this price.

Trackpad offset is very enjoying and requires pushing in corners at times.

Battery life very good. Samsung software update tool good

Too many trial versions for Buisness type use.

Review 2 : First rate, bought after weeks of research
I spent far too long deciding on this eventual purchase but I needn't have bothered.
I'd been living with an Acer 5750 2nd Gen I5 with 4GB mem, 1TB HDD etc but most importantly an awful keypad.
I'm not a fan of this new chiclet layout and my hatred of the acer keypad was the only reason for my intention to replace it with another brand.
I don't use a laptop for gaming, just the occasional video editing tasks but mostly itunes and office based work what with being self-employed.
I was looking at the lenovo thinkpad based on my previous history of their superb build and excellent, tradional keyboards but felt they were a little too 'corporate' nowadays and plus, they aren't cheap.
I also had a Sony Vaio S series in my sights and took a trip to a local department store to try a couple of laptops out.
At first glance the chronos is stunning, as near to a macbook [which I tried at the same time] you'll ever get but at half the price.
