I generally bought this laptop for programming (I bought from PCWorld though) and it is very good at it.
It has 4GB RAM but is Upgrade-able to 8GB.
The setup was probably the simplest I've ever had to do... You turn on the laptop, windows 8 configuration loads up.. really clean, simple, easy to go through.. You'll be on Windows 8 within like 2 minutes.
Windows 8 is very easy to get used to (I usually use linux on my desktop PC) and is very quick and smooth and I love the metro design.
The webcam is GREAT for skype calls, really good framerate etc.
Overall, great laptop. But price is a bit high here,
