Very good for the money
I bought this to replace an 8-year old JVC Mininote, still going but showing its age and starting to fail. The JVC managed to pack 6+ battery hours, a DVD drive and a replaceable battery into 1.4 Kg - surely one of the best examples of design ever. This has a battery that's not user-replaceable and lasts 3-4 hours between charges, and no optical drive so I bought a Samsung SE-208 to go with it. The keyboard is comfortable to type on (though no numeric keypad), and the screen is excellent. There are only two USB ports, on opposite sides of the case, which could be a limitation. The touchpad is good, but I prefer a mouse, which immediately ties up one of the USB ports. The AMD dual core processor is quite fast enough for what I need (which includes some heavy statistical number crunching). The video memory is shared, which slows some geographical information system operations (not a concern for most users, I know). The RAM is as much as a 32 bit processor can address. The 320GB hard...

bought this for hdmi out, usb 3.0, and not been disappointed, 4 gig ddr3 ram is fast and 18 watts average power usage is awesome, led backlit screen, really nice bit of kit for the money.....no down sides.........
