Great size and weight, super quick but very little storage
Very quick laptop and great size. The two main reason it was bought to be honest. Was hesitant on the very low storage in the 128gb ssd but thought the added speed of it being an ssd would make up for it. Be warned that your 128gb has under 65gb available after OS and the bloat ware acer have added which is crazy. Still though if u don't mind using an external drive its a great little machine perfect if your on the move with it a lot, great battery life if all your doing is surfing and using word or excel.

Review 1 : Great size and weight, super quick but very little storage

Review 2 : slim, light and decent build, but some points to keep in mind.
I travel most weeks with laptop in backpack, this new laptop has made my travel a joy with its ultra-slimness and lightness. With all the good there are some down points to consider.
1. It has no network adaptor, so get a USB one if you need wired.
2. It only has 2 USB ports, so get a hub if you need more.
3. It has Bluetooth, and I tried a blue tooth mouse but it constantly went into sleep mode despite the Acer BT settings not supposed to be doing that.
4. It only has 4GB RAM and that's your lot as these are soldered direct to the motherboard, this latter point took me by surprise as I had hoped to go to 8GB, but it just abaout manages my needs with 4GB
5. The CPU is Core i7, but my old HP had a Core i5 and was faster than this Acer, although i have removed all the nonsense apps installed by Acer and now it seems much better.
6. The wireless net card takes around 2-3 minutes to connect, so far from being fast as described its possibly the slowest laptop...

Review 1 : Great medium range laptop
This laptop is a perfect balance between performance and price. (Though the 3317U version doesn't say touchscreen, it has one)

The CPU and Graphics chip will last you for a good few years and still run games etc, it can run alot of current games in high deatil, but i suspect not future games at High detail (but you should'nt really expect to for this price)

The combination of touchscreen and windows 8 is fantastic, really user frendliy and intutive (though i recommend you watch a few online tutorials on win 8, I found it confusing until I watch them)

The SDD cache and 500gb hdd is again fantasic, I've reinstalled windows 8 on the SSD cache and windows loads in 7 secs.

Baterry life again, (8hrs, can't really ask for more)

Only negative is that it's a bit heavy at 3kg+, and can only take 6gb of ram (However there is a additional 1gb of vram for the graphics card, which most laptop take from the main memory so really it's 7gb of ram)

Really good for what it takes like gaming on the go smooth frame rates when playing battlefield 3 and other games like Race driver grid/ Sniper elite and black ops 2.

Review 1 : Aesthetically pleasing with decent performance.
I have had this laptop for three days.

Pros
- Very nice design, aluminium/plastic combo. Slim.
- GT730M one of the latest nvidia card for 2013.
- Battery life (based on SSD version) 5hrs+ avg so far.
- Core i7 speed.
- Comfy, backlit keyboard.
- Ports on the rear (personal preference).

Cons
- Screen resolution on the low side (1366x720)
- Heavier than an ultrabook
- Base gets quite hot when gaming
- Battery not user replaceable (although good for 1000+ recycles)

Overall I am pleased with my purchase and I believe it is a fair price.

Review 1 : The Ultimate Ultrabook
I have been using this Ultrabook for just over 24 hours and I think that I have at last found the ultimate portable computer.

It looks incredible and is at last a Windows PC that can be placed next to the MacBook range of computers and not be found wanting on looks or performance, the Acer Logo on the back of the screen also lights up which is a nice touch.

It is extremely light and can be picked up with one hand with no problem, it is also extremely fast to start-up and shutdown, either from sleep mode or from a full boot, in fact it is up and running as soon as you open the screen.

The display is excellent and the touch screen works very well, the keyboard takes a bit of getting used to as the keys are quite flat, but seems fine to me after a bit of use, the backlighting on the keyboard is also very good, the track pad is a bit tricky to begin with but after a bit of fine tuning seems to be working fine now.
