Great laptop!
Had the G62 a few weeks now and really like it.

Its great looking - textured silver finish all over, slim and nice looking simple design.

The 2.13Ghz Intel i3 chip gives great performance as does the 7200rpm HDD (nicer than the typical 5400rpm drives you find at this price point)

Its fast, nimble, quiet and cool-running with a very nice screen to boot.

A great all-round notebook!

Review 1 : Great laptop!

Review 2 : Specs are great, but the display and keyboard are awful
I bought this as a replacement for an old Toshiba laptop that I'd had for 2 and a half years. I'm used to budget laptops and average specs, and I thought this one would be one of the better ones, but there are some HUGE problems with it that I wanted to warn potential buyers about.

Pros:

i3 processor - multitasks and runs big programs fast.

fast hard drive - never mentioned in reviews, but this is something that really boosts the performance of this laptop.

responsive touchpad

build quality - despite what you may have read about hp, the build quality seems very solid. I reckon this is the kind of laptop that will as a few years, although having said that, one of the four 'nubs' on the bottom came off after only a few days (easy to glue back on).

great design - has a pattern over the lid and the inside which is quite stylish I think. Also takes some design cues from macbooks with some nice lines, not as ugly and...

Okay, here it is. The only notebook that can compete with the ueber-stylish MacbookAir.
Let me start with a couple of limitations. If you can deal with these, then this might be the notebook of your choice.
1. No VGA connection. MicroHDMI is included, but you will need an adaptor to connect monitors or projectors.
2. HD is currently limited to 128GB, which gives you around 100GB for free usage, the rest is reserved for some kind of recovery partition.
3. No UMTS module. I dont really encountered a problem with this. Traveling a lot, but most places have (Airports, Hotels, Offices) Wifi anyway. I carry a UMTS stick as back-up but never had to use it. However some people seem to have real issue with that if I read some other reviews on the net.
4. Price is definetly designed for the higher income levels. If you are on a budget, take some other laptop. You might get similiar specs and more connectivity for a lower price in most other machines. If you want a...

Review 1 : Awesome but not Perfect - and the Price is Too High!
I bought this laptop because I admired the idea of a Macbook Air but just didn't want to be a part of the Apple PR rollercoaster.

I am giving my honest opinion of this machine - I know this means I will get negative votes but I wouldn't want to mislead people.

1ST GOOD POINT - this is a FABULOUS LOOKING DROP-DEAD GORGEOUS MACHINE - it has sensuous curves and is not only a refreshing change from the look of a Macbook Air but is really quite different from any other laptop I've seen. People complain aobut the fingerprint magnet areas of the machine but honestly, it's a pleasure to give it a bit of a polish occasionally; well, really quite often.

2ND GOOD POINT - the KEYBOARD IS A CHICLET TYPE, IS POSITIVE AND A DELIGHT TO USE and is BACKLIT! The Macbook Air's isn't and I really couldn't live without this now

3RD GOOD POINT - THE BATTERY LIFE IS REALLY GOOD - I got 5 hours out of the box and this has increased to 6+ hours (mine is used mainly...
