Review 1 : Lenovo thinkpad edge E530
I decided to purchase this laptop directly from lenovo.co.uk after having an impressive glitch-free 6 year experience with a Thinkpad R60 which I bought back in 2006.
I decided on the thinkpad edge as the build quality and keyboard seemed superior to most other laptops within the 300-450 price range. However, admittedly, build quality was quite a step down from my 2006 thinkpad R60. Although you could buy similar priced machines with much better components I went ahead with the thinkpad edge as all I really needed it for was word processing, surfing the internet, itunes etc and I was really keen on the quality of the keyboard.
Here's a list of advantages and disadvantages which I've constructed over the past 4-5 months
Advantages
1. Non-Glossy Screen. You either love them or hate them. I personally prefer them and find them much more practical.
2. Good keyboard layout and quality compared with other laptops within price range however not...
