Review 1 : Disappointing Display
Looks gorgeous, the best PC rival to Apple's G4 Powerbook, light , slim and apparently ideal for the business traveller. The ultraportable design means it lacks a DVD-RW and is in no sense a desk top replacement. But it shouts style and quality ... looking good at any business meeting or professional presentation.
All that said the one area I found disappointing was the display. The resolution is as good as it comes but it has nowhere near the bounce and crystal clear sharpness of some rival models. Surprising this for a machine manufactured by a company renownd for the quality of their TV monitors. The display has a narrow field of view, so that a slight tilt of the screen or movement of the head creats shadowing and distortion. Unnacceptable and annoying in a laptop that would otherwise be a state of the art machine.
