I bought a Toshiba satellite approx 3 years ago and was very pleased with it. I recently sold it to a friend as I bought an imac,but decided to buy another laptop for convenience. Thought I would get another Toshiba.
Big mistake!!
The build quality is poor - flimsy plastic. The keyboard is very flimsy. The sound from the built in speakers is the worst I have ever heard from any laptop. I either received a bad one or Toshiba have dropped their standards.
This machine was so disappointing I returned it immediately to Amazon.
I would not recommend this model to anyone.
I have replaced it with a Lenovo Z500 which is brilliant.

This Kind of Toshiba Satellite C855-2ET 15.6-inch Notebook (Silver)-(Intel Core i5-3230M 2.6/3.2GHz, 6GB RAM, 750GB HDD, Windows 8, USB 3.0) functions excelent. simple to use as well as modify. the price for this is lower than other areas, My spouse and I other places investigated, and not much more when compared with comparable merchandise.

Review 2 : broken down
had it week or so and the screen went black. VERY TIRESOME!! I am in Poland on business so not a good move. For that week the machine woorked Windows 8 seemed good, liked the way it pushes email to windows live and the navigation
