I travel a lot. Despite having reservations about a smaller screen size, 13.3 is ample- and with windows 8, zooming is easy so its a non- issue. The battery life is to die for, it's light, powerful and well put together.
Worth every cent. If you're after an ultrabook, I thoroughly reccommend this one.

Review 1 : SUPER MACHINE DESPITE WINDOWS 8
I am a design engineer and rely on my laptop to present designs and concepts to clients. With an important client visit scheduled for Monday afternoon you can imagine the desperation when my ancient laptop finally expired on a Saturday morning about 3 weeks ago. What to buy and where from....instantly? Last year I had bought my wife an Asus Zenbook. It was the leading ultrabook around at the time and I admit to coveting it . it's elegance and operating speed were breath-taking. Now was an opportunity to bring my portable technology into 2013. Some quick research showed that most independent reviewers rated the new Zenbook (the Asus UX31A) and the Mac Airbook to be almost on a par and both were head and shoulders above the competition in the ultrabook arena.
I run professional video editing software, 3D cad software and 2D cad software and have a very high spec desktop pc to run these programs. Would the UX31A be capable of running these? With the exception of the integrated...
Review 2 : Very good! but....
I'll keep this short! First of all i love this laptop its display is certainly its best feature and the overall speed of the machine is very very good.
So why only 4 stars? well at the time i thought it was completely unacceptable but this laptop comes with 2 types of SSD and there is no way of determining which one you receive only when you actually get the item the box has a sticker.... Just hope you have the Sandforce drive insted of the Sandisk drive as the first one is considerably faster. Try googling it and you will see the performance hit.
I got the Sandisk model and i would of returned it if i could of but due to circumstance i couldn't . The reason it still got 4 stars is because i have been using it for a few weeks now and the drive speed hasent effected much that i can tell in day to day use.
But still Asus, supply shortages or not i dont not think this is acceptable to fit sub par parts.
