The battery life is simply amazing, unrivalled in it's class. Snow leopard is an absolute joy to use and if you still like using windows for certain tasks, you can run it alongside snow leopard using software called parallels.

The screen is stunning, and in combination with the backlit keyboard, your eyes will thank you. The design is robust, sturdy, and has a satisfying thud when the magnetic clasp grips the machine shut.

I'll never go back to windows, not for love nor money. This is the way forward, and it comes in such a sexy little practical aluminium package!

If you want to save a little bit of money on your mac i'd get it trough amazon, my new mac arrived in couple of days perfectly packed and untouched. It was my first Mac and i absolutely love it recommend it to everyone that is sick of buying new computers all the time and getting problems with them, now i had my mac for 6 months and i havent had any problems at all. I've been waiting for the unibody Macbook Pro line to be updated since early this year, it was worth the wait! This update really has put the 13" machine into the pro line, and even though I was worried that the lack of the dual-graphics cards you get with the higher price models might be a problem I needn't have worried. The screen is amazingly bright with very vivid colours, and it handles games at high quality settings with fps at around 20-50 depending on the game and what it's doing, usually smooth and clear.

This machine does get rather hot, as the aluminium body is used to transfer heat out of the interior, I wouldn't want to use this on my lap. And it would be nice if Apple would start putting Blu Ray in their computers.

I can live with those two problems, and for me this machine is simply fantastic!

Fantastic Mac
I converted from my Dell laptop and I agree with previous reviews the whole affair was seamless. I rarely turn the laptop off, just closing the lid is good enough. It is a fantastic piece of design and the build quality is second to none. It is true you can get a PC clone with more memory, greater chip speed and for less money, but once you have started using a mac nothing else will do.

If you have money buy one - especially the 4GB Ram 250GB HD model. For ultra portability go for the 13" model. If you do not have the money then save up and buy one.

Review 2 : It just works! Awesome...
I finally bit the bullet and went for a mac, and can truly say now that once you've had mac, you never go back! I've got a trusty old desktop which runs XP reasonably well (ok, yeah, it has had 2 disasterous lose-all crashes) and last year I bought a cheap toshiba laptop with vista - which has spent much of it's life "not responding". I'd always thought macs were a little pretentious and arty, and that people who paid that much for a computer had issues...

"Then I saw it's pace, now I'm a believer..."

There were too many people telling me how good they were, and I was fed up ctrl-alt-deleting and still never getting where I wanted to be, so I went for it. Awesome. Expensive yes, but if time is money then I wish I'd done this years ago as I would have saved an inordinate amount of staring at status bars, trying to undo the upgrade or service pack that brought down your system, waiting for task manager to cough and sputter it's way into life because you dared open...

If an old master of classic art were to live these days, they'd most probably create this product if they were requested to make something that embodies awesomeness the best.

It's the first Mac I ever use, and I was in quite a dilemma as to which one to buy, the 15" i5 version, or this with the 2.4 processor. After much debate I tossed a two penny coin and it told me to go for the 13", which I did buy almost a week ago. It has not crashed on me once, just as expected. It's so fast that sometimes I think it's cheating in some way, just as expected. It's light at around 2 Kgs (what's that in lbs? oh yeah, there is a dashboard widget just for that, 4.41 lbs). The screen may sound too small at first, but if you have the time, make sure you check them in an apple store. The 15" and the 13" put next to each other look like twins. If you look at them from the right angle you can barely tell them apart, and that's something Apple deserves a standing applaud for.

I'm not new to Mac's, in fact this is probably my 6th or 7th and it is by far the most exciting i've ever owned.
