It's the first laptop I've ever owned, and whilst perhaps not as fast as the desktops I've owned, I have no complaints. I can highly recommend this machine

I spent a long time looking for a replacement for my 7 year old Toshiba M70 which is still working. Having bought this machine,I added external mouse and keyboard, plus 2.1 speakers. Very nice system, crystal clear picture,sound is tip top.Add to this the use of Toshiba TEMPRO to keep the system up to date (also use for Registration of Warranty). I will be installing Norton 360 which I bought for the M70. I think a good idea is to look up Windows 8 if you haven't seen or used it before.I hadn't seen it but the more I use it the more I like it. A thing I found was if you let the system "sleep" you were liable to wake from "sleep" with no display. This is because the default is to set the display to Auto which then causes the system to switch to an external display. Go to Toshiba Desktop Assist, System Settings,Display, Set To System LCD Only. All in all a superb system which backed by Toshiba Quality hopefully will serve me just as the M70 has. I also bought a 500GB Toshiba Canvio...
