Excellent piece of hardware!!
I've had this laptop for about 2 weeks now and I can't begin to fathom how useful it's features are in navigating the newest windows operating system. At first I was quite sceptical to the idea of having a laptop with a touchscreen, as my conception at the time was rather negative. However using this in conjunction with my university and travelling lifestyle, I find it's features rather compelling and useful especially the touchscreen, as I'm able to fix multiples windows onto the screen in one fail scoop rather than having to click and drag with the mouse cursor. I'd recommend this product to anyone and everyone. It has very good battery life and the speakers are just amazing (mainly thanks to the beats audio) and unlike other ultrabooks and some notebooks there's an integrated subwoofer to make that audio that much more realistic in reproducing sound quality.

This particular HP ENVY TouchSmart 14 Inch UltrabookTM 4-1103ea (3rd Generation Intel® CoreTM i5-3317U 1.7 GHz, 8GB DDR3, 500GB Hard Drive + 32 GB mSATA SSD, Windows 8, WiFi, Bluetooth, HD Webcam) functions excelent. user friendly and alter. The Cost of this was lower as compared to other locations, my partner and i other locations investigated, rather than a lot more compare to comparable item.

We bought this for my son. The other reviewer doesn't like Windows 8 I think but we do here - all three of us. In fact my sister-in-law has just bought one, too. We enjoy using it and it's the third HP we own as a family. Their service is superb and the guarantee can be extended for a snip after the two years are up... that's good. It's a fast multitasking machine with the latest 3rd. generation i5, an Intel Centrino Wi-Fi chip and 8gb of fast RAM, with a superbly fast large hard disk/SSD combo that means it starts up in very, very quickly. Windows 8 is solid and reliable with super fast switching between programs and apps.

The touchscreen is an utter delight to use although I use a mouse myself; the scroll pad is easy, accurate and works very well - but I still use a mouse more often than not. The screen itself is bright and sharp, very clear indeed and is rather and very usefully larger than other similar ultrabooks. The keyboard is a delight, even with my large fingers -...
