Review 1 : I'm pleased with my panic buy!
I'll admit I bought my R60 in a panic. I had a document for work due in, I'd been writing it all day, and at 10pm, my trusty ten year old Toshiba laptop literally sparked and died. Tesco was the only shop open at that time of night, and the R60+ was the only laptop they had in stock, hence I wound up with it (Courtesy of my good friend Mr Credit Card).
It came with everything pre-installed - Vista, Office 2007 (Couldn't get on with it, so when the 60 day trial ran out, I uninstalled it), and it was ready to go out of the box. There are 3 USB ports, one on the side and two at the rear, which is enough for me. It has built in wi-fi, which has been really useful. It always gets an excellent signal on secured and open networks. If you're on wired networking, there's an ethernet port at the back too, next to the modem cable input.
On the side is what I think might be an output for an external monitor, although I'm not sure. It's got space for 15 pins, if that...
Review 2 : R60+
I've upgraded to a duo after thinking about it for a while. Then this R60+ from tesco for &400 made my mind up for me,So i went for it. Well the old machine Acer Aspire Travelmate "celeron M"... there's not that much difference apart from being able too surf the web whilst listening to web-radio without any stops at all, As for Vista well just clean up XP functions.
