I have had my 8930g laptop for two and a half years now, it has travelled almost every day to and from work, including holidays at least 10 oversea, I have had no trouble with it my only bad points are that I found the loading of the blueray disc a little slow and for me a 320gb hard drive is too small, the additional software would be better supplied on an optional download as I have never had use for it. I place big demands on this machine, photoshop, Illustrator, working with files as big as 1.8gb and am happy with the performance. I have had other brands that have failed from overheated mains connectors to usb breakdowns and the Acer is the first not to have let me down yet. I have recommended the brand to many others, to date none have come back with complaints.

The Cost of this was lower than other areas, My spouse and I other areas investigated, and not a lot more compare to related product or service.

Review 1 : Will never touch another Acer
I bought this Laptop last December. I was looking for a desktop replacement with a good enough spec for gaming and the Acer 8930G seemed to be the right fit. I was originally quite happy with the machine, the big screen is great for watching videos and the system was powerful enough to handle the newest games at high resolution. However, within 2 months of the purchase date, the laptop failed and had to be sent back to the manufacturers for repair. I received it back a month later, with a new mother board fitted. When I got it back I noticed that the USB ports were intermittently not working so it had to go back again. When it was returned (another month later) the issue was not resolved, so the laptop had to go back again. Then when I got the unit back, it failed again within 2 weeks. I returned it AGAIN, this time it got a new hard drive. On receiving it back the USB port issue had returned, so the machine had to go back yet again!
