This Kind of Acer Aspire V5-431 14-inch Laptop - Purple (Intel Pentium B987 1.5GHz, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, DVDSM DL, LAN, WLAN, BT, Webcam, Integrated Graphics, Windows 8) does excelent. simple to operator and alter. the price for it was much lower compared to other locations, I other locations Researchd, and never a lot more than equivalent merchandise.

Review 1 : Just one or two reservations........
I've had this just over a week and may write again after a longer period.
I'm very pleased overall. I like the colour and the design. The keyboard is easy to use but, having been a lifelong mouse user, I'm finding the touch-pad a little odd. I'm getting used to Windows 8 but use the desktop rather than the app screen. I find the charm bar a pain.
There is a card reader on the left at the front of the base but it's hidden behind a removable piece of plastic and easy to miss. There are also three USBs and an HDMI slot.
Next to the HDMI is a weird slot into which you can plug a supplied adapter which includes a LAN and VGA. This works fine for the LAN and is useful if you want to download a large file. But without it you're entirely dependent on wi-fi so don't lose it because it might not be easy to replace.
The DVD works fine but the tray is pretty flimsy.
I did think about the version with the I3 processor but read somewhere that...
Review 2 : A great laptap
This is a great machine. Being slightly small makes all the difference without any compromise on performance. I highly recommend it.
