Great Laptop!
Great Battery life (particularly with the optional Sheet Battery), excellent performance, and outstanding boot time (UEFI).
I've upgraded the RAM to 12 GB and put a 512GB SSD into it, while it was great before, it now SCREAMS! :-)
Only downside is that the screen can be a bit too reflective sometimes, but not enough of a downside to lose any stars...

I used to be a Sony fanatic. I knew that Sonys were superior quality if you were willing to pay the premium. I have an old Sony laptop since 2002 and it's still going. However unfortunately this situation has changed. Now the quality has dropped, Sonys break as much as anything else but you still pay the premium. That's not on. My old Vaio from 2002 had a metal casing, so to date there are very little scratches on it. On the contrary this S series is mostly made out of cheap plastic. The lid has no rigidity and as such it bends very easily under normal pressure scratching the inner part of the lcd frame on the keypoard frame. The cheap paint on the metal wrist rest comes off gradually leaving ugly marks. In addition after one year it developed a random fault. The same specs can be found on other makes with less money or same money and better quality. I bought an ACER recently with stunning quality stunning hd screen, lighter and similar specs for less. Don't be fooled by the Sony...
Review 2 : Nice bit of kit - could do with Bluetooth
Neat piece of kit as you would expect with Sony, looks great in white, the backlit keyboard is a good idea and the ergonomics are pleasing apart from the fact that the power cable is on the wrong side for me. Immediate downsides are that it does not have Bluetooth and I had a small initial issue with screen brightness randomly dropping for no reason which has suddenly cleared. Those things aside though a great purchase
