Hinge design flimsy and hard drive gave up on mine
I have same spec as this, and after a minor bang, the hinge came loose. The hinge design seems to have been improved on the newer VAIOs so they obviously saw this as a fault. It still cost me Euro 204 to repair! That doesn't even include collection and delivery.
My VAIO is now only 2 years old, and the hard drive has given up already. I paid extra for a Sony expecting good quality but didn't get it. Sony Customer Service is terrible. When the laptop gave up, I was told I'd have to pay
