Perfect for Uni
Bought this laptop for coding at uni, does the job perfect.
Love how it looks, boot up quick and one of my fav features is it has a number pad!
Only dissappointing thing is the speakers, which isnt really a massive deal for me.
Comes with a load of software that you dont need. Bit of advice dont delete any Vaio software if you dont know what your doing.

Review 1 : Good value laptop
Think this laptop with software was good value at the price (was 437ish March 2011), nice bright and clear display, photos look stunning, quiet when operating, no problems so far/after 2 months. Still getting to grips with the touch pad, but that's me, not the laptop, I think. Easy guided setup and various pre-installed software probably helpful for new users. Not a big Windows 7 fan and the starter versions of word and excel are limited, but do the basics. The sound quality is ok, maybe a little tinny on some sound at high volume, but perfect through headphones, so maybe you would need better speakers if you really wanted to watch films/listen to music at any real volume. I'm being super-critical here, but I love this laptop, usual quality you would expect from Sony (PS3 network security aside), and would recommend it as good value for money.
Review 2 : A Truly Fantastic Laptop!!!
I got this fabulous laptop about two weeks ago. I was first wondering to get a core i3, so I was very hesitated to buy this one. When it came, I recognized it works so fast that I can't distinguish what can be the difference between its CPU and an i3/5/7. Perhaps it might make a difference if someone is interested in playing heavy games, but so far whatever I have run it has been sooo fast. It's also so fast in multitasking, when several windows of different programs are open and working. Its design is so pleasing and nice. I have checked many other laptops before getting this one. This one is so stylish and is quite similar to an iMac (but I would say this is much more stylish than iMac). The keyboard is very convenient to work and the build seems so strong. Overall, this is a truly fantastic product. I love every second of working with it.
