Nice but flimsy to save weight and low audio output
I was looking for a good media laptop, i use it a lot for iplayer and the like and was less concerned about portability but keen on wide screen. The windows 7 is fine so far and the operation is fine. The pc feels flimsy to carry but is light and is robust. My main gripe is that for a media pc as it is described it has a woeful audio output. You will need external speakers unless you are using it in a v q place. This is very disappointing. It is a a pity I could not identify this earlier - is there a standard for output like a hi-fi? If there is my research did not show it.

Review 2 : Compaq Presario laptop
After a fair amount of study of laptops I settled for the Compaq Presario CQ71-4025A as the pentium dual-core, memory and price all attracted me.It has a large screen and is fast - though probably not fast enough for serious gaming. It is not an expensive model but I have been impressed with its performance and it seems excellent value for the price. It was easy to set up and just worked straight out of the box. It has a 64-bit Windows 7 operating system so this has to be taken into account, and I have not yet tried to use it with other hardware devices. Hopefully there will be new drivers available. So far, very recommendable.
