A very good laptop, well specified, but not perfect
Pros: Installed well, took about 3 hours overall. No particular problems encountered. This PC is very quiet in operation. The keyboard is good and the screen is clear. Build quality seems very good.
Cons: the gloss screen means you get loads of reflections, not ideal, so not 5 stars. Some of the pre-loaded software is superfluous. The documentation is minimal - should really be improved.
Overall: very good value.

Review 2 : excellent bit of kit
So far I am very pleased with this laptop. Doddle to setup, found my wireless broadband connection straight away!
Very fast and responsive. Faster than the 3 year old dual core desktop we have. Keyboard nice and positive. The keypad is excellent for me as I work on spreadsheets a lot and it saves me plugging in number pad and using up a USB port.
The screen and resolution are good.
I have been using the laptop on the dining table near to a large window and have not experienced any difficultly with glare.
Ideally I would have liked the Windows 7 disc but there is an excellent backup utility which also backs up
the OS. I am not used to using that kind of backup though and do prefer to reinstall the OS myself if there is a problem.
The sound though is tinny, even with the higher end laptop soundcard. But when you are used to a desktop with surround sound I guess
there is no way that the sound is going to come up to scratch. However...
