Best Laptop I've ever owned (Running Ubuntu 12.10)
I bought this machine to use as my travel laptop only as I have a top of the range Dell Precision 17inch workstation laptop. But after formatting Windows 8, disabling secure boot and UEFI I installed Ubuntu 12.10 (in fallback mode) it's become my laptop of choice.
Install time was less than it took Windows 8 to initialise my profile, boot time is 5-6 seconds. If you are looking for a laptop for Ubuntu this is an amazing machine, pretty much everything just works. I installed powertop and followed it's recommendations to get the battery life up to 6-8 hours. The screen is amazing and totally kicks Apple Air's screen in all ways (Resolution, contrast, brightness, viewing angles and of course it has a matt finish)
Only reason I can't give it 5 out of 5 is I'm not a huge fan of track pads (I prefer track points) but that's a personal preference.
Another awesome feature is the hard drive, wifi module and battery are all replaceable after removing the back...

Review 1 : A superb laptop, let down by windows 8
Excellent build, superb screen, so thin and light with a good keyboard. Battery lasts 6/7 hours, less than I expected. It is fast helped by Intel's i7 and windows 8,but let down by Intel's graphics which is a mistake by Samsung as it slows down the system which otherwise has impeccable specs. Now as for Windows 8, yes it is faster, smother, more secure but what a complicated interface!you waste time deciding and switching between the tiled UI and desktop and it feels awkward. The applications themselves have trouble knowing where they launch! In the new UI they are awkward to use, there are too few and are inferior to their desktop version. It will take long before W8 becomes a usable version of windows OS.
