Review 1 : Nice machine - big spec for the money!
This is a well specified laptop from HP. I have a 9 year old HP laptop that still serves our church well, mainly for Powerpoint & DVD presentations. I have purchased this one to use at home, alongside my main desktop PC. However, I could quite easily see me converting to use this one as my main home computer, such is the size of the hard drive (750GB). The 4GB RAM memory makes for a very fast machine for general computing tasks (internet, email, word processing etc) but also copes well with basic photo and video editing.
I find the battery will last anything between 3-4hours, depending on how power hungry the applications are it is running. This is pretty good and I rarely believe some of the claims of 6-9 hours many manufacturers claim.
Cosmetically the machine looks great and very classy. The keyboard has a nice feel and the keys are quite large, probably due to HP not trying to cram in a number keypad. (I realise some people can't live without one but I've never used the...
