Brilliant budget computer, easy setup, much faster than my old toshiba. Having got used to Vista and all its probs, this is perfection for me, the specs are good, speed is good, although a test run on a similar spec Acer seemed a little faster, its great for kids, comes with Magic Desktop installed, great for basic gaming but you would need to spend a bit more money if you want the ultimate gaming experience.
The touchpad takes some getting used but is not a major prob, can be easily switched off and replaced by mouse, if needed.
The size of the harddrive, at this, price is a bonus.
Handles multitasking well, makes more common sense than previous os.
Basically, this is a great family computer, well worth it, and I love it!!!!!

Great product. Everything you need from a laptop.
Pros:
- Specs are great for laptop price e.g. 500 GB HD, 3 GB RAM, 5-in-1 card reader, webcam with internal mic, HDMI connection for those high definition lovers and 3 USB ports.
- Mouse touchpad switch (on or off).
- Lock screen button (bonus) especially if used in a work environment.
- Windows DVD Marker for those that like to make home movies and other cool software e.g. Magic desktop for parents with children.
- Stylish outter shell.
Cons:
- The functions keys on the left hand side e.g. the "printer" button gets a bit annoying after awhile especially if you use the shift key a lot.
- The mouse pad buttons need some getting used to.
- The keyboard is a bit on the cheap side of things (maybe recycled plastic used for this feature).
- Audio/speakers rather quiet for a HP product.
